S11 league system: Starting with its 11th season in early 2018, TCEC will adopt a league format consisting of four divisions of eight chess engines. The five divisions will be called the Premier, First, Second, Third, and Fourth Divisions. Each division will conduct a tournament which will lead to the top two engines in the Premier Division facing off in a 100-game Superfinal for the TCEC seasonal championship. All details on time controls and format

S11 Participants: The participants list is based on the final standings of S10, a new entrant in Third Division, and eight new participants in Fourth Division. See the full list of participants here

S11 Openings: A major element of a successful tournament is the careful selection of suitable openings for the event. This season is once again spearheaded by Nelson Hernandez (USA). He has made the opening selections for Fourth, Third, Second and Premier Divisions. First Division openings have been selected by our guest Nikolaos Konstantakis (Greece); in future seasons First Division will be offered to individuals unaffiliated with any engines who want to give this job a try. The Superfinal is again in the capable hands of Jeroen Noomen (Netherlands).Full information on openings
