After nine rounds of the Turkish Isbank Chess League the team of İstanbul Beşiktaş Jimnastik Club remains in the lead with seventeen points.
Two rounds were played on 18th of July. The toughest match in the 8th round happened between the leader Beşiktaş Jimnastik Club and the chasing team of Istanbul Teknik University Sport Club.
A very exciting game between Grandmasters Viorel Bologan and Dragan Solak finished the last and its outcome decided the match. The victory of the Moldavian player brought a tie for Istanbul Teknik University Sport Club which is now placed second, one point behind Besiktas.
