Stockfish leads TCEC – Season 6

Stockfish 4 (3135), modification 080414 maintains the lead in TCEC Season 6 – Stage 3 with 8/11, defeating Shredder 12 (2921) with Black pieces in Makogonov Variation of King’s Indian Defence.

Houdini 4 (3132) is trailing the leader with 7.5/11. In the eighth round of the most prestigious computer event Houdini outplayed Critter (3031), version 1.6a, after sacrificing three pawns. Follow some of the most interesting fragments from the game below.

Stockfish, Houdini and Komodo occupy the first three places, but there are 17 (!) more rounds until the end of the third Stage of TCEC – Season 6 and everything is possible.
