UTDallas Fall FIDE Open

ut-dallasThe University of Texas at Dallas is organizing the 2014 UTDallas Fall FIDE Open from 21-26th November at the Embassy Suites Dallas – Park Central, 13131 North Central Expressway, Dallas, Texas, USA.

The 9-round Swiss event with the time control G/90+30sec is open to players rated over 2000 FIDE or 2200 USCF. The event is FIDE rated and FIDE title norms are possible.

Tournament is limited to a total of around 40 players. To improve chances to make GM Norms, a maximum of one-third of the total field will be permitted to be U2200 FIDE.

The prize fund is $7,500 guaranteed.
Prizes: $$3000-1500-1000, U2500 $$1000, U2300 $$1000.

Tournament will be run using FIDE Rules. Chief Arbiter is IA Francisco Guadalupe.
