Vitaly Kunin wins Bamberg Open

65_offizielles_siegerfoto_bamberg_1024_768The Bamberg Open (Prof. Dr. Robert Pfleger Memorial) was a 7-round Swiss tournament which took place from 6-13 May 2018 in Bamberg, Germany.
125 players took part in the tournament.
Before the last round they were 6 players with 5 out of 6 and plenty more with 4,5 points. Two of the games between 5 pointed players were drawn and it looked like it can be a very big sharing of the 1 place. But finally GM Vitaly Kunin won against IM Christian Scholz and took the first place with 6 points out of 7.
Seven players have made 5,5 points. Second place was for GM Leon Mons and third is IM Vincent Keymer.
