WGM Zeinab Mamedjarova is 2015 Azerbaijani champion for women

azerbaijani-flagThe 2015 Azerbaijani Individual Chess Championship for women took place from 16th to 25th January 2015 in Baku, the capital and largest city of Azerbaijan.

The event was a 9-round Swiss tournament with time control 90’/ 40 + 30′ + 30″.

WGM Zeinab Mamedjarova emerged a clear winner with 7/9 points, leaving the nearest followers full point behind.

WIM Narmin Kazimova, WCM Narmin Mammadova and Turkan Hasanova tied for the second place after the whole group finished with 6 points.

However, Kazimova prevailed on a superior tie-break score and took the silver, while Mammadova remained third.
