The World Youth Chess Championship 2016 is going to take place 21 September – 4 October in Ugra, Khanty Mansiysk. 191 girls and 221 boys representing 62 countries will participate in the world championships. The players will come to Khanty-Mansiysk from Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chili, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, India, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Chinese Taipei, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Luxembourg, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Namibia, Poland, Puerto-Rico, Romania, South Africa, Russia, Slovenia, Serbia, Sri-Lanka, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine, the USA, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Egypt, Kenya, Peru and the Republic of Madagascar.
The biggest delegation has 59 participants and represents Russia. The smallest – having only 1 player – will come to Khanty-Mansiysk from Luxembourg, the Republic of Madagascar, Malaysia, Montenegro and Puerto-Rico.
