Four players finished with 9,5/13 after the last round of the World Junior Chess Championship for girls in Athens, Greece. However, with best tiebreak was WGM Guo Qi, ahead of WGM Nastassia Ziaziulkina, and IM Anastasia Bodnaruk, while WFM Aulia Medina Warda remained out of the medals.

More about Guo Qi
Guo Qi, born in 1995, is one of the young chess talents of China. She first appeared on the FIDE rating list in 2008 after playing 16 rated games and getting initial rating of 2027.

Her star starting rising in 2009 at the 8th Asian Continental Championship, where her talent was obvious to the professionals. Guo Qi is especially active since November 2010, while in the Chinese Chess Championship in 2011 he managed to score wins against strong players as Huang Qian,  Ju Wenjun, etc. In the Chinese league the same year she continued the great performance, defeating Harika Dronavalli among others.

Based on this, Quo Qi was awarded the Women Grand Master 2nd quarter Presidential Board Meeting 2011, 4-7 June 2011, Al Ain, UAE.

Currently Guo Qi is number 3 in the world U18 and in the female top 100 list with rating 2358. She is certainly going to advance based on the rating points won at the World junior Chess Championship.
