The Cape Verde Championship is taking place from 7–11 December 2022 in Praia. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. It is an 8-player round-robin tournament with Mariano Ortega Amarelle, Celia M. Rodriguez Guevara, Antonio Monteiro, Carlos Moes Joaquim, Gil Teixeira, Luis Barros, Antonio David Monteiro and Jose Carlos Vaz.
