Chemnitzer Turm Open 2011

The 15th Chemnitzer Turm Open 2011 & Sachseneinzelmeisterschaft der Frauen was organized by the Chemnitzer Schachverband and Schachverband Sachsen from 30th September to 3rd October.

The 7-rounds Swiss tournament was held at the Hotel “Rabensteiner Hof”, Kirchhoffstr. 34-36, 09117 Chemnitz. Tournament Director is Andreas Schulze.

The tournament winner received a trophy and 1,000 € in prize money. 2nd place 700 €, 3rd place 500 €, 4th place 300 €, 5th place 100 € (Category A). The best player of the Chess Federation of Saxony (SVS) is “Champion of Saxony”. In addition there were special rating and senior prizes.

WIM Claudia Steinbacher (2106) won the Sachseneinzelmeisterschaft der Frauen (Saxony individual women’s championship) with 5 points from seven games. Eleven players competed.
