How does the Schachbundesliga work?
In the season, 16 teams compete against each other. A team will be hosting eight players from a 16th ranking set before the season. A winning game is a board point, a draw worth half a board. There are two team points for 4.5 or more board points, in the case of a 4:4 both teams will receive one team point. The team points are initially applicable to the leaders, and if they are the same, the board points. For titles and class retention, the direct comparison counts for team and board equality, and a trick fight when there is a tie. The season is divided into seven double rounds, which will be held on Saturdays from 2 pm and on Sundays from 10 am. Since when is the Schachbundesliga league established?
In 1973 it was found by the German Chess Federation, and in the 1974/75 season it started operations in four regional groups with eight teams each. The four group leaders determined the Master at the end. In its current form, namely in a group with 16 teams, there has been the Schachbundesliga since 1980. In 2007, the Schachbundesliga broke away from the DSB and founded its own club. Since then it has been independent and carries out the game-based activity itself.
Is there such a thing as a master cup?
A championship bowl was donated to introduce the single-track Bundesliga in 1980. This shell has since passed into the possession of the record champion OSG Baden-Baden and has been replaced by a large cup. This cup is also a wandering trophy, which can become the property of a club at the earliest if there is no longer any room for engraving the master. It is presented by the president of the Schachbundesliga e.V. or a representative.
Who are the stars of the league?
Numerous world-class grand champions, top ten players and even multiple world champions play in the chess league. In addition, many German internationals represent the first division clubs, as do some of the strongest players. Also particularly talented young players are active in the Schachbundesliga .
What is the time control of the Schachbundesliga
In the Schachbundesliga , the following time control applies: 100 minutes for the first 40 moves. After the first time control, each player is added 50 minutes to their existing remaining time for the rest of the game. From the first move, each player receives a credit note of 30 seconds per turn.
Is there a ban on draws in the Schachbundesliga as in various international competitions?
In the Schachbundesliga , a ban on draw agreements before the 21st move is in place. This is intended to prevent the unfriendly arrangements. Excluded from the ban is a draw by a threefold repetition of position.
Is it true that mobile phones are forbidden?
