Chess Bundesliga 2024 – 2025 aka Schachbundesliga is the top club national championship of Europe. 16 teams compete in weekend events with classical time control to determine the club champion of Germany.

How does the Schachbundesliga work?

In the season, 16 teams compete against each other. A team will be hosting eight players from a 16th ranking set before the season. A winning game is a board point, a draw worth half a board. There are two team points for 4.5 or more board points, in the case of a 4:4 both teams will receive one team point. The team points are initially applicable to the leaders, and if they are the same, the board points.
