GM Georgiev is golden medalist on first board from the European Club Cup, Ohrid 2009. He is winner of Wijk Aan Zee C in 1995, Sri Lanka 2009, Canadian Open Championship 2009, Costa Rica 2008 and many other events all over Europe. His greatest achievements are in the coaching area. He was trainer of the Russian team AVS during the European Club Cup in Rogaska Slatina 2011, where the team took the gold. He was also second of GM Stefanova when she won the world title in Elista 2004, as well as coach of WGM Natalia Pogonina when she conquered the Russian championship for women.
