The Groningen Chess Festival is taking place at Groningen University in the Netherlands from 21-30 December 2022. The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves then 30 minutes until the end of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 1. The A Group is a 9-round Swiss Open with participation of Pranav Anand, Hagen Poetsch, Nico Zwirs, Stefan Macak, Nick Maatman, Valentin Buckels, Rick Lahaye, Tim Grutter, Migchiel De Jong, etc.
