Hans Niemann is now the second strongest junior in the world

The meteoric rise of Hans Moke Niemann continues. With a solid performance in Sarjah Masters (replay games / all the information / final standings) and currently playing in Prague (follow the live games here), Hans Niemann has added 8,2 ELO points to his rating. Now he is second in the live rating list with 2686,2, with only Alireza Firouzja ahead of him.

The rise of Hans Niemann to the second position in the junior rating list was possible due to the weaker performance of Esipenko, who lost a combined 22 ELO points in 2nd Festival d’Estate Open and Top 12 French League B, falling out of the 2700 club. The race goes on with Vincent Keymer and Abdusattorov on fire, and Indian talents Gukesh, Erigaisi, and Pragg going strong as well.
