IM Artur Frolov wins 1st Lviv Tradition Tournament 2016

12656327_657576991051408_213845781_oThe 1st Lviv Chess Tradition Tournament 2016 was a 12-player IM-group round robin tournament, which took place from January 25-31, at the Hotel Nton, in the splendid city of Lviv, situated in western Ukraine.

The event was a second category closed tournament, valid for FIDE rating and norms.

Ukrainian IM Artur Frolov emerged a solo winner with 8/11 points, leaving the nearest followers half a point behind.

The second place was shared in a three-way tie by Piotr Sabuk, IM Daniil Shkuran and Piotr Goluch after the whole group finished the event with 7.5 points.

Piotr Sabuk fulfilled an IM norm, while WFM Oliwia Kiolbasa – an WIM norm.
