International Rapid Chess Tournament Ilok 2011

International rapid chess tournament Ilok 2011 was held on 4th September at the new Sports Hall in the Croatian bordering city of Ilok. The tournament was played over 9 Swiss rounds with the time control of 15 minutes per player.

Nine Grandmasters entered the field of 96 players. Davor Rogic and Milos Perunovic shared the first place with 7.5 points each, but Rogic grabs the winner’s trophy on better Buchholz.

The tournament had an unfortunate timing and missed a dozen of Grandmasters due to the clash with the Serbian Premier League. Last year about 20 Grandmasters entered the competition and ultimately Miroljub Lazic and Slobodan Martinovic shared the first place.
