Haryana State Junior Chess Championship

April 10 to 12, 2010 at CCA School, Sector-4, Gurgaon

1st April, 2010 – XV Haryana State Junior & Sub Junior Chess Championship 2010 for boys and girls will be organized by Distt. Chess Association Gurgaon under the aegis of Haryana Chess Association from April 10 to 12, 2010 at CCA School, Sector-4, Gurgaon.

Hony Secretary of the Haryana Chess Association Pradeep Gupta told here that Opening of the Tournament will be held at 12 p.m. of 10th April and Prize Distribution Function at 2 p.m. of 12th April at the venue. Players for the age group of Under-7, U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15 & U-19 can participate in the Championship from all over the Haryana State.

Team for all the above age groups will be selected from the top players of this Championship for the forthcoming National Chess Championships to be held at various places in India. 24th National Under-11 Boys & Girls Chess Championship will be held at Chennai from April 27th.

Organizing Secretary of the Tournament Naresh Sharma told that there will be a total cash prize of Rs. 24,000/- in this championship, which will be given to the winners. Tentatively 6 Rounds will be played in this Championship under the FIDE Laws of the Chess. Normal entry fee of Rs. 100/- and donor entry fee of Rs.200/- will be charged in this Championship.
