Nothing new in Nalchik, Zhao Xue wins again, extends lead

GM Zhao Xue continues the domination in the Nalchik FIDE Grand Prix and defeats the former world champion Zhu Chen to extend the lead to full two points ahead of the opposition.

The game was dynamic but roughly balanced until Chen blundered horribly on the 55th move and lost soon thereafter.

Antoaneta Stefanova won the third game in a row and is now sharing the 2nd place with Ju Wenjun. Alexandra Kosteniuk ended the negative trend while Munguntuul Batkhuyag remains on the bottom of the scoreboard.
