The situation in Syria and the region moves FIDE World Junior Chess Championship 2013 to a new venue

The FIDE World Junior Chess Championship 2013 was supposed to take place in Hatay, Turkey, from 12th September (arrival) to 27th September (departure) 2013. Due to the proximity of the Syrian border and the escalation of the situation in the region, FIDE has initiated a procedure of moving the event to a safer venue.

Today, the Turkish Chess Federation has sent an official letter to FIDE regarding the change of venue for the 250 participants from 53 countries. Here is the full text.
