If previous qualifiers are among the winners, the next in line in the Continental shall take the Continental qualification place to the World Cup / Women’s Championship.
Concurrent with the tournament, we organizers will also hold the FIDE Trainers Seminar from 21st to 25th May to be conducted by the FIDE Trainers Commission and Florencio Campomanes Chess Academy. There will be morning sessions in order to give players a chance to attend and earn FIDE Trainer titles.
We thank you for your indulgence since the National Chess Federation of the Philippines was asked only recently to step in and save the Asian Continental Championship after the late withdrawal of the original bidder. Despite the short time we had to prepare, we have arranged for a record prize fund through Rep. Manny Pacquiao.
We look forward to welcoming your players to Manila.
