The 24th Annual New York State Open will be held from May 20-22, 2016, at the Tiki Resort, 2 Canada St., Lake George, New York.
The event has 4 sections: Open, Senior, Under 1610 and Under 1210. Each section has either a 3-day schedule (May 20-22) or 2-day schedule (May 21-22) to participate in.
The tournament format is 5-round Swiss, 40/100, SD/30, d10 (2-day option, rds 1-2 G/60, d10).
The event has a $3,000 prize fund, unconditionally guaranteed.
Open Section: $$ 400-200-100, top Under 2010/Unr $210-110, top Under 1810 $200-100.
Senior Section: Open to under 1910 or unrated AND ALSO born before 5/22/66. $$ 300-150-70, top Under 1710 $140-70.
Under 1610 Section: $$ 240-120-60, Under 1410 $120-60, unrated limit $150.
Under 1210 Section: $$100-50, trophies to first 3, top U1000, U800, U600, Unrated.
