The Astana Zhuldyzdary 2023 Tournament A is taking place from the 11th of July to the 18th in Astana, Kazakhstan. The A tournament is intended for the players rated 1800 or more, it is the 3rd stage of the Kazakhstan Cup. The total prize fund of the Festival is 40,000,000 Kazakhstani tenge (equal to $90,000). The time control is 90 minutes with a 30-second increment beginning from move one. The default time is 30 minutes after the actual start of the round. It will be a 10-round Swiss tournament with participation of Hans Moke Niemann, Shant Sargsyan, Manuel Petrosyan, Aleksandr Rakhmanov, Vladislav Kovalev, Sethuraman, S.P., Ilia Smirin, Pavel Ponkratov, Alexander Moiseenko, Mittal Aditya, etc.
