FIDE Trainers’ Seminar in New Delhi started on Monday. The Seminar is co-organized by FIDE, FIDE Trainers’ Commission, and the All India Chess Federation.
Four official trainers’ titles may be awarded: FIDE Trainer (FT), FIDE Instructor (FI), National Instructor (NI) or Developmental Instructor (DI), depending on coaches’ resumes and examination results.
The Seminar was inaugurated by Mr Bharat Singh Chauhan, Hon. Secretary, All India Chess Federation and President, Commonwealth Chess Association.
Training & FIDE certification are managed by FIDE Lecturer Jovan Petronic (FIDE Senior Trainer), who is ably assisted by Lanka Ravi (FIDE Senior Trainer) and G B Joshi (FIDE Trainer).
A yet another FIDE Trainers’ Seminar highlights awareness of the continuous need for official certification and licensing of chess coaches worldwide.
Represented are participants from New Delhi and India. An intensive 7-day programme awaits all participants, ending with examination. Good luck to all!
