The 73rd edition of the Argentine Women’s Superior Chess Championship “Malvinas heroes” 2022 took place from 1-8 May at the University of La Punta.

A record number of 44 players competed in the 9 rounds swiss tournament for the total prize fund of 250.000 pesos. WIM Florencia Maria Fernandez scored 7.5/9 points to be the sole Winner of the event clinching the title of National Champion for the 5th time in her career.
