Fuengirola to host EUSA Bridge and Chess Championships 2017

Spanish coastal city of Fuengirola near Malaga will host the European Universities Bridge and Chess Championships – EUSA mind sports – from September 20-24, 2017.

Preparations are well underway, and the event will be organised in cooperation of European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the local organising committee, with the support of the European Bridge League (EBL) and European Chess Union (ECU), respectively.

Venues and preparations were inspected on November 14 and 15 by Mr Harry van de Peppel, EUSA Technical Delegate for Bridge. EUSA Technical Delegate was welcomed by Mr Rifaat Chabouk, general coordinator of the Organising Committee, and event managers Mrs Beatrice Nunes and Mr José Maria Alvares.

The participants will be accommodated in 4* Hotel Las Palmeras, situated by the beach, where also the tournaments will take place. The registration will start in December via EUSA Online Registration System.
