Girls U16 German Championship – LIVE

The German Youth Individual Championship with its 700+ participants is Germany’s major youth championship for individuals, organized by the “Deutsche Schachjugend” (DSJ) in Willingen, Sauerland. Players compete in age groups under-10 through under-18 open/boys and girls tournaments (10 tournaments in all). In the under-10 groups players receive 75 minutes for 40 moves, then 15 minutes for the rest of the game plus 30 seconds per move starting from move one, and play 11 rounds in all. In all other tournaments 9 rounds will be played at a rate of 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes for the rest of the game plus 30 seconds per move starting from move one. The Giruls U16 section is 9-round Swiss system tournament with participation of Dora Peglau, Michelle Trunz, Katerina Bräutigam, Yaroslava Sereda, Charlotte Hubert, Darja Fischer, Marianne Stepanjan, Anastasia Voigt, Anna Wilmink, Jenny Ha-Linh Nguyen, etc.
