GM Nikita Maiorov first in Guingamp

The 19th International Chess Tournament Guingamp took place from 14th to 21st February, 2015, in Guingamp, a city in northwestern France.

The event was a 9-round Swiss open tournament with tempo of play 90’/ 40 + 30′ + 30″ and prize fund in total of 4,600 €.

GM Nikita Maiorov from Belarus lifted the trophy with 7,5/9 points and took the first prize in the amount of 1,000 €.

FM Victor StephanFM Tangi Migot, GM Ezra Kirk and IM Alexandru Manea tied for the second place on7 points each, but Stephan prevailed on a superior tie-break score and finished second, while Migot got third.
