The 4th tournament of FIDE Grand Prix Series 2012-2013 started today in Makedonia Palace Hotel in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The ceremonial first move was made by tournament sponsor Ivan Savvidis in the game Kamsky – Dominguez. Savvidis played 1.e4 and told Kamsky in Russian – “Now you cannot lose the game”. Kamsky went on to win.
