More than 500 kids crowd the central street of Berga to play Chess #TweetOftheDay

More than 500 kids from 16 FEDAC schools in Catalonia crowded the central street of Catalonian town Berga during the 1st “Eskcmat” event. The festival promoted Chess in School programs that are successfully implemented in FEDAC schools where chess is taught as a complementary activity during school hours. More than 500 children playing chess on over 250 boards in the central street of Berga highlighted the educational and social benefits of chess. The event took place on Friday, 13th of May, and it was supported by Berga City Council and the Berguedà Chess Club.
