MrDodgy Invitational 3.0 is going to take place in 2022. The announcement comes from the Tournament Director and CEO of Chefable, MrDogy himself. A real upgrade in the event is planned, changing the motto from “Bigger Better Harder” to “Bigger, Better, Realer“.
MrDodgy Invitational has always been the most important event in chess. Now that the “world champion” title is used randomly in chess events, the MrDodgy Invitational value is even higher. When can we expect the next Invitational?
The 3rd Prestigious MrDodgy Invitational will take place later this year and will be bigger, better and realer than ever.
Will you rename MrDodgy Invitational to MrDodgy world championship, just to follow suit with other organizers?
The MrDodgy organizing committee does not believe any World Championship is worthy of the name unless the strongest player plays. We haven’t yet decided if we want to invite Magnus.
Will you add the winners of the previous editions of MrDodgy Invitational to the world champions list or just the new champion will be entitled to inherit Magnus Carlsen?
There have been 16 “classical” World Champions and only 1 MrDodgy Invitational Champion. It’s clear which one is harder to win. Magnus knows where to find us when he’s ready for the next challenge!
