A blitz tournament commemorating the late Ivan Bukavshin (1995-2016) was organized on 12th January in SDYuSShOR #4 in Togliatti, Russia.
More than 60 chess players, including students and coaches of the Russian Grandmaster Center, gathered to pay their tribute to the talented sportsman.
Grandmasters Murtas Kazhgaleyev and Yakov Geller tied for first place with 7,5 points each. The grandmaster from Kazakhstan received the trophy thanks to a superior tie-break. Grandmaster Yury Yakovich finished third with 7 points.
