The Salamanca, Cradle of Modern Chess is taking place from 26–29 April 2023 in Salamanca, Spain. Players receive 40 minutes for the entire game, plus a 5-second increment starting from move one. It is an 8-player round-robin tournament with participation of Jaime Santos Latasa, Veselin Topalov, Kirill Alekseenko, Anna Ushenina, Gunay Mammadzada, Sabrina Vega Gutierrez, Vasyl Ivanchuk and Sarasadat Khademalsharieh.
