Sigeman Chess 2013 will take place 22-28 May. Just like last year, eight players play seven rounds, and as usual, the field is very interesting.
The field includes three former winners of the Sigeman Chess Tournament, former world championship challenger Nigel Short from England, the winner from 1995, Ivan Sokolov from Holland, and the shared winner from 2011, Hans Tikkanen from Sweden. Add to that no. 2 on the Dutch rating list, Loek van Wely, and Hungary’s youngest grandmaster ever, Richard Rapport. The home team also comprises Swedish grandmasters Nils Grandelius, Emanuel Berg and Jonny Hector.
As all players are known for their fighting skills, we would like to congratulate all chess fans on the opportunity to once again see world-class chess live. Do not miss the opportunity to visit Hipp and follow the games live, guided by our commentators, grandmasters Ulf Andersson and Stellan Brynell.
