The US Junior Championship is taking place in the St. Louis Chess Club from July 15-25 2023. The 10-player event has a $40,000 prize fund with $12,000 for 1st place, while a sole winner will also gain a $10,000 academic scholarship. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. It is a 10-player round Robin tournament.
