Women’s German Chess Masters 2022 will be held from 22–30 April in Best Western Plus Plaza Hotel Darmstadt. It is a 10-player round-robin tournament with Hanna Marie Klek, Dinara Wagner, Lara Schulze, Melanie Lubbe, Sarah Papp, Josefine Heinemann, Elena Kopke, Jana Schneider, Antonia Ziegenfuss, and Brigitte Burchardt.

Parallel to the Women’s German Chess Masters 2022 will be International Open German Championship for Women from 27th April – 1st May. The event is open to all interested players, regardless of their title or rating. The International Open German Championship for Women will be played in 7 rounds, Swiss system, with time control: 90 min for 40 moves + 15 min for the rest of the game + 30 seconds of increment starting with move 1. The prize fund of the event features prizes for the best ranked five players, with 500 EUR reserved for the Winner, as well as the special prizes for the best player rated under 2000 and for the best player rated under 1700.
