World Cadets Rapid and Blitz Championships – Medal Winners

The 1st World Cadets Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships was held from 2-4th June in Minsk, Belarus. The championships were held in Palace of Sport, the same venue as the European Individual Chess Championship 2017.

626 young chess players from 24 countries took part in the rapid event.

On June 4, the World Cadets Blitz Chess Championship among boys and girls under 8, 10 and 12 years old took place in Minsk, Belarus. 532 young chess players from 25 countries were fighting to win trophies and medals.

1. Sofia Mutina – 7.5, 2. Anna Shukhman (both – Russia) – 7, 3. Mai Hieu Linh (Vietnam) – 7;

Boys U10:

Girls U10:

1. Volodar Murzin (Russia) – 7.5, 2. Bardiya Daneshvar (Iran) – 7,5, 3. Mikhail Spizharny (Belarus) – 7;

1. Anastasiia Dubovyk (Ukraine) – 8, 2. Kseniya Zeliantsova (Belarus) – 7, 3. Nguen Thien Ngan (Vietnam) – 6.5.

All children received certificates of the participation in the 1st World Cadets Rapid and Blitz Championships.
