AEM Luxten and Politehnica-Antibiotice are winners in Romanian Superliga

The Romanian Superliga 2013 took place from 31st August to 8th September at the Complexului Cleopatra in Mamaia, Constanţa.

Both Open and Women sections had 10 teams participating. The scoring system was 2 points for a match victory, 1 point for a tie.

CS AEM Luxten Timisoara narrowly edged Clubul de Şah Baia Mare to win the title of Romanian Club Champion. Luxten Timisoara finished the event with 16 match points, while Baia Mare had an extra tie and thus collected 15 match points.

In the Women’s League CS Politehnica-Antibiotice Iasi dominated the competition to convincingly win the title with 17 match points.

CS AEM Luxten Timisoara was represented by GM Volokitin Andrei 2688 UKR, GM Berkes Ferenc 2678 HUN, GM Lupulescu Constantin 2634 ROU, GM Parligras Mircea-Emilian 2560 ROU, GM Nevednichy Vladislav 2573 ROU (perfect score 8/8!), GM Berescu Alin-Mile 2470 ROU, GM Murariu Andrei 2533 ROU, IM Grunberg Mihai-Lucian 2411 ROU, CM Toma Radu-Cristian 2222 ROU and CM Bida Mihai-Eugen 2225 ROU.

CS Politehnica-Antibiotice Iasi was represented by GM Lagno Kateryna 2542 UKR, GM Cmilyte Viktorija 2497 LTU, WGM Bulmaga Irina 2410 ROU, WGM L’ami Alina 2358 ROU, WIM Padurariu Ioana-Smaranda 2205 ROU and WCM Gelip Ioana 2050 ROU.

The Superliga was organized by the FR Sah, CS Tinerii Maeştrii Bucureşti and AJS Constanţa.
