GM Julio Sadorra clear first in Agoura Hills

The 21st Annual Western Class Championships were held from March 7-9, 2014, at the Sheraton Agoura Hills Hotel, 30100 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills, California.

The event had 7 sections: Master, Expert, Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D and Class E.

Texas resident GM Julio Sadorra took a clear first place in the Master Section after drawing the last year winner GM Melikset Khachiyan in the final round.

Sadorra earned $1600 for the effort, while Khachiyan and FM Cameron Wheeler bagged $630 each for the shared second place.

Master Section final standings:

2-3. GM Melikset Khachiyan 2626 CA and FM Cameron Wheeler 2345 CA – 4.0
