Maxime Vachier-Lagrave discloses where he was during the Olympiad

Maxime Vachier-Lagrave currently plays the 2022 Saint Louis Rapid and Blitz, the fourth leg of the Grand Chess Tour 2022 series of tournaments. Vachier-Lagrave and Firouzja won the rapid portion of the event scoring 11 points, each. In the interview after the Day 3 games, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave commented on a thrilling game against Fabiano Caruana. He also revealed where he was during the 2022 Chess Olympiad as he wasn’t part of the French Olympic Team. “I was chilling. I took some vacations, I don’t even remember where. I know I was mostly in Paris“, explained Maxime adding that he was powering for the upcoming tournaments. See the complete interview below
