Serbian Chess Championship 2022

The 2022 National Chess Championship of Serbia will take place from 6-14 December in Bajina Basta, concurrently with the Serbian Women’s Chess Championship 2022. It will be a 10-player round-robin tournament, with time control of 90 minutes for 40 moves + 30 minutes till the end of the game, with the increment of 30 seconds per each move starting from the move one.

Three-time Serbian Champion (2014, 2018, 2020) GM Aleksandar Indjic is the top seed of the tournament. The field includes reigning National Champion of Serbia GM Velimir Ivic, two-time Serbian Champion GM Milos Perunovic, six-time Serbian Champion GM Ivan Ivanisevic, GM Boban Bogosavljevic who clinched the National Championship in 2013, member of Yugoslav and Serbian National teams on five Chess Olympiads GM Aleksandar Kovacevic, actual Coach and Captain of the Serbian National Team IM Miodrag Perunovic (aka TheButcher), IM Nikola Radovanovic, IM Vuk Djordjevic and FM Ivan Martic.

The total prize fund of the event is 800.000 RSD (~6.800 euros) with 240.000 RSD (~2.000 euros) reserved for the Winner of the event. Live broadcast of all rounds will be available here.
