Tigran L. Petrosian wins Ashot Anastasyan Memorial

The Ashot Anastasyan Memorial rapid chess tournament took place on July 10th at the Tigran Petrosyan Chess House in Yerevan. The event was dedicated to the memory of Ashot Anastasian, an Armenian chess Grandmaster who won two team bronze medals and one individual gold medal at Chess Olympiads.

The event gathered 28 titled players with an average rating of 2438. GM Tigran L. Petrosian emerged as the sole Winner of the event with 5.5 points. Four players tied for the second place scoring 5/7 points, each, with tiebreak criteria determining the medalists. GM Gabriel Sargissian came second and IM Artur Davtyan was third.
