Zug Chess Open in Switzerland

The 1st Zug Chess Open will take place on 20-22nd September, 2013, at the Siebachsaal, Chamerstrasse 33, 6300 Zug, Switzerland.

The Open will be played over five rounds of Swiss system and submitted for FIDE and CH elo. The tournament is organized by the “Schachförderverein Zug” and Adrian M. Siegel.

The total prize fund is CHF 5100. Top prizes are CHF CHF 1500, 1000, 800, 500, 300, 250, 150, 100.

The time control is 90 minutes for the first 40 moves plus 15 minutes for the rest of the game + 30 seconds per move from the first move.

The number of participants is limited to 80 (first come first serve). Currently 65 players are registered to take part in the event. Top rated are GM Christian Bauer FRA 2637, GM Sebastian Bogner GER 2580, GM Dgebuadze Alexandre BEL 2520, IM Werner Hug SUI 2471, IM Oliver Kurmann SUI 2421 etc
