The Superfinals of the 75th Russian Chess Championship and the 72nd Russian Women’s Chess Championship are simultaneously taking place in Cheboksary from 10-23 September. The events are being held at the Chuvash State Art Museum, being held as part of the Chess in Museums program carried out by the Chess Federation of Russia and the Elena and Gennady Timchenko Foundation.
The 75th Russian Chess Championship Superfinals are played as a 12-player round robin tournament with Vladislav Artemiev, Daniil Dubov, Andrey Esipenko, Sanan Sjugirov, Maxim Matlakov, Evgeny Najer, Maksim Chigaev, Aleksandr Rakhmanov, Ilia Iljiushenok, Arseniy Nesterov, Evgeny Tomashevsky and Volodar Murzin in the field. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one.
