Four players share first in Southwest Master Class

Gata KamskyThe Southwest Class Championships were held from February 13-16, 2015, at the DFW Airport Marriott South, 4151 Centreport Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas.

The event had 7 sections: Master (FIDE rated), Expert, Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D and Class E.

The Master section featured 56 players. Grandmasters Gata Kamsky, Yaroslav Zherebukh, Holden Hernandez and Anton Kovalyov shared the first place with 5,5/7 points to claim $1450 each.

Reigning US champion Kamsky took another $200 as bonus for the best tie-break.
