Vincent Keymer is now part of the 2700 club

The top German player and one of the best juniors in the world Vincent Keymer is now officially part of the 2700 club. With the win against IM Michał Luch in the Polish Ekstraliga, Vincent Keymer breaks the magic mark of 2700 Elo points for the first time and moves up to 42nd place in the live world rankings.

With Vincent Keymer entering the elite club, there are now six juniors above 2700 ELO – Alireza Firouzja, Arjun Erigaisi, Gukesh, Nordibek Abdusattorov, Hans Niemann and Vincent Keymer. The next one to cross the 2700 mark could be Pragg, who added 11 ELO points so far and is currently 2687 ELO.

Vincent Keymer commented, “I am very happy to have reached 2700 ELO. It is really motivating to see that working hard pays off and I hope that there is still a lot more to come!”
