Wisconsin International Chess Festival

The Wisconsin International Chess Festival will take place from 13-19th June at the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin, USA.

The 9-round Swiss tournament will offer a possibility to earn GM and IM norms. A Blitz tournament will be held on Saturday, June 17th at 7pm.

The prizes are: $3,000-$2,000-$1,000-$500-$500; top u2450 $500; top u2250 $500.
Minimum Prizes (must complete all 9 rounds): $500 for foreign GMs (first 5), $100 for all foreign FIDE rated players.

Currently top rated players are GM Andrey Stukopin 2596 RUS, GM Boris Avrukh 2592 ISR, GM Vladimir Belous 2585 RUS, GM Bartlomiej Macieja 2543 POL, GM Priyadharshan Kannappan 2521 IND, GM Joshua Friedel 2510 USA, GM Eugene Perelshteyn 2489 USA and GM Alex Yermolinsky 2482 USA.
