The 78th Polish Individual Open and 73rd Polish Individual Women Chess Championships 2021 took place from April 24- May 8, 2021 in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
The Open section event was played as a 16 players knockout tournament, where Wojtaszek Radoslaw and Moranda Wojciech entered the finals. After a tied result in the regular two games match, Wojtaszek took a decisive victory in the last round of tiebreaks to claim the title of Polish Chess Champion 2021.

In a playoff match for the third place, GM Socko Bartosz took a 1.5-0.5 victory over IM Teclaf Pawel to clinch bronze.

IM Kulon Klaudia scored 6 points in Women’s section to emerge on the top as the sole Winner of 2021 Polish Women Chess Championship.
WGM Zawadzka Jolanta, IM Cyfka Karina and WGM Majdan Joanna followed Kulon with 5.5 points each, tying for the second place, but additional criteria decided that the vice-champion of the event is Zawadzka, while Cyfka took bronze.
