Norway announces team for 44th Chess Olympiad 2022

The 44th Chess Olympiad 2022 takes place from 28th July – 10th August in Chennai, India, and 100 countries already registered for the event. A number of countries revealed the composition of their teams for Chennai, such as: GermanySpainSerbia, Monaco, KenyaIndia, UgandaSri LankaMalawi

Norway joined them and today disclosed the composition of their team which will travel to India:

  1. Magnus Carlsen (2864)
  2. Aryan Tari (2654)
  3. Jon Ludvig Hammer (2627)
  4. Johan-Sebastian Christiansen (2592)
  5. Frode Olav Olsen Urkedal (2558)

Reigning World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen will lead the Norwegian team. Carlsen debuted in the World Chess Olympiad in 2004, playing the top board with score of 3/5 points.
